FUNCTIONAL

BEAUTIFUL

TIMELESS

“flooded with light and ideal for entertaining”

This home had a very small, dark kitchen with an eating nook at one end and a hallway to the basement at the other. We combined the kitchen and nook and opened up the wall to the back hallway while exposing the stairs on the side wall to create a larger more open space. The end product is now a light and airy space that is flooded with morning light from the backyard and is ideal for entertaining.

“with a large island, walk-in pantry and a half bath”

This stately home had a small kitchen and no bathroom on the main level. By relocating a set of stairs to the basement and enclosing the original back porch we were able to create a spacious kitchen with a large island, a walk-in pantry and half bath along with views and access to the backyard. All of the architectural details and finishes were chosen to be in keeping with the architecture of the home.

“light and expansive views of the river”

This home was a series of small, dark rooms that did not orient to the views of the river. We moved the kitchen forward to the existing dining room and converted the sunroom to a casual dining area where the family now enjoys the light and expansive views of the river. The materials and finishes were chosen to blend with the views and reflect the natural earth tone palette while standing up to kids and pets.

“light, fresh palette of whites, creams and Carrara marble”

This home built in the 90’s initially had a rustic European inspired palette of terra cotta, earth tones and deeply stained wood cabinetry that felt heavy and dark to the client. We updated the home in a light, fresh palette of creams, whites, Carrara marble, aged brass and bleached woods. We also reconfigured the kitchen with island seating to orient to the windows and backyard.

“seamless extension of the master bedroom”

This four bedroom home had a half bath on the main floor and one small bath on the second floor. The client wanted to create a master bathroom and walk in closet. By enclosing the existing second floor sleeping porch we were able to create a beautiful and functional space that is a seamless extension of the master bedroom.
